- Cassandra; performant data-architecture, many-node/billion object scale
- Content filtering systems (SMTP/HTTP) – a huge benefit
- Any Java/C a bonus
Candidates are expected to have all of the following skills:
- Python; true OO and MVC/MVP, experience building abstraction libraries
- Integration/middleware inc. distributed/parallel processing patterns
- Experience with Apache Spark or similar big data processing engines
- Documentation; contributing to designs via a Wiki/PyDoc
- PHP; ideally building public API services
- Working within large, distributed, polyglot programmed projects
