“MarvellousMe are a disruptive start-up with a clear aim to assist parents in the ultimate challenge –finding out what their children actually did at school!”
The MarvellousMe (MMe) app lets teacher’s post and share activities (what they did), badges (good work, listened Well, Good Manners etc.) and messages (don’t forget its PE tomorrow). Parents can find out what their children have done productive during the school day using the mobile parent app where they can follow their children’s’ progress in real time through notifications with text and media updates such as pictures, video and audio ,from the teacher. cloudThing are technology providers and investors in this exciting opportunity.
Finding our what your children did at school is a perennial problem. The MMe founders had the vision to solve the problem, the market knowledge and distribution channels for the product but lacked the technical capability to develop the platform. cloudThing know the education market backwards and know thing or two about software!
cloudThing were selected by the founders of MMe for both our technical capability and deep knowledge of the education market. Through partnership we worked through the product concepts, determined the MVP features and target platforms. cloudThing build a hybrid mobile and web app that not only provided a cross device solution working on both mobiles and desktops but also enabling teachers to capture and record achievements with audio, image and video moments of children during lessons and post these for parents to see.
The school pack was created after the success of the parent and teacher apps. In order to encourage wider usage, MarvellousMe wanted to offer schools wide a management suite to help with the setup of teachers and classes from MIS data, reporting and user management of teachers and parents.
We already knew cloudThing’s Management Team and chose to work with cloudThing because they possessed a unique mix of deep technical knowledge, an eye for design, commercial acumen and have operated multi-million user systems & products that were extremely well respected in our industry
